The Boomer Description

The Boomer is a male infected that lives a very unstable existence. The Boomer is a very frail, fat infected that has slime within its body to the extent it resembles a zombie balloon. The Boomer has a large growth over his right eye and much larger pockets on its chin. The Boomer wears a black shirt that only covers its upper torso, but not it's large stomach. It's stomach also has growth on its torso to suggest they are also pockets of excess slime. The Boomer wears elastic pants that are stretched to handle his massive balloon like figure. The Boomer constantly gurgles due to the slime with in its body which helps give away its ambush location!

The Boomer Vomit Bile

The Boomer can release the "slime" from his body with a forced vomit that recharges every 30 seconds(Versus only). This vomit is released in a arch which makes it possible for the boomer to release it over obstacles that would obstruct the barf if the physics didn't include gravity. A vomited on survivor(s) cannot see and a special theme plays when you are vomited on and the horde quickly forms a few mobs to attack the disadvantaged survivor. Additionally like any other slime attack from the Boomer, the survivors are able to see their fellow survivors which can make the otherwise easy ability to access the situation much more difficult. After 20-30 seconds, the slime subsides and you are no longer summoning mobs of the horde to attack you. However mobs already summoned in this way will still seek you out.

The Boomer Melee Attacks

The Boomer's scratch attack does a mere 2-3 damage per hit. As such, it is best reserved for knocking down doors and getting a survivors attention and not for dealing large amounts of damage. A common and useful tactic for the scratch is to lay in wait inside a closed room, then scratch a hole in the door. When the survivors walk past, blow chunks out of the hole and hit them!

The Boomer Death Animation

When a Boomer is killed it automaticly triggers its explosive death animation. This animation can push back survivors un-pounce hunters. Knock survivors off edges or hang from them. Just like the vomit, it summons a portion of the common infected horde that will attack the slimed survivor(s) exclusively during the duration of the slime. The Boomer can use this in many ways dropping down or turning a corner in front of a trigger happy survivor in close proxcimity can be used to cause some seperation between survivors with the push back of the animation.

The Boomer's Art of Distraction

Boomers are slow, frail and make easy targets to destroy. Boomers can make up for this by using other infected to grab your attention, it usually sets up an ambush point and waits for a situation to unfold binding it's time until the survivors are not looking where they should be looking or be forced into focusing on something and then release it's slime onto the survivors.. Boomers can also vomit and reach survivors in high up locations or drop down on them as well again using distractions to make up for it's weaknesses.
